Classroom
Classroom is a place where the student and teacher spend a considerable amount of time sharing their experiences and making it a place for knowledge transfer. We ensure that our classrooms are spacious with natural lighting and good cross ventilations per CBSE norms and to ensure the health,well-being and convenient for group activities of students with essential ambiance.
Biology Lab
The school has a well equipped labs Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Teachers teach the lessons by doing experiments. Experiential learning is also promoted among the students to design and develop technological devices or innovative exhibits such as working model of electric motor and generator, transportation in plants and animals, etc. through the collection of eco-friendly and commonly available materials
Chemistry Lab
The school chemistry lab is a hands-on learning environment where students explore chemical reactions, study properties of matter, and practice safe laboratory techniques. Equipped with essential tools like beakers, test tubes, and Bunsen burners, the lab allows students to conduct experiments that bring abstract concepts to life. From observing color changes in acid-base reactions to learning about the periodic table through element identification, the chemistry lab fosters curiosity and reinforces scientific understanding, while teaching critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Computer Science Lab
St. James Academy has a well-designed computer lab for its kids and secondary children. The state-of-the-art lab is with multimedia and LCD monitors that are easier on eyes,generate less heat and consume less power thereby keeping the classroom atmosphere comfortable for the children. Information Technology syllabus is taught with the latest software which are consistence with the latest trends embedded with useful and interesting activities and project works.
Physics Lab
The school physics lab is a dynamic space where students engage with the principles of physics through interactive experiments. Here, they explore concepts like motion, electricity, optics, and forces, using equipment like ramps, pendulums, circuits, and lenses. By measuring, observing, and calculating outcomes, students connect theoretical ideas to real-world applications. Whether they’re studying Newton’s laws by rolling objects down inclined planes or experimenting with circuits to understand voltage and current, the physics lab cultivates a practical understanding of the physical world while developing analytical and problem-solving skills.
Mathematics Lab
The mathematics laboratory is rich in manipulative material, to which children have ready to access to handle them, perform mathematical experiments, play mathematical games, solve mathematical puzzles and become involved in other activities. It helps the students to build interest and confidence in learning mathematics. The laboratory provides opportunity to exhibit the relatedness of the mathematical concepts with every day life. It provides greater scope for individual participation in the process of learning and becoming autonomous learners.
Smart class
St.James Academy provides digital learning to all students. It helps in increasing the receptive power of students through interactive instructional tools. With the display of attractive graphics and animations in this pedagogy, it creates more interest and motivation among students. Audio-visual tools are available for all subjects, which provides better instructional materials and different learning styles.
Library
Library plays an important role in the enrichment of knowledge for students. It is a place where students get answers for the most difficult questions. SJA library is well equipped with a good collection of books, periodicals and magazines. Class I to IX children are allotted one library period per week. Around 5000 books related to various subjects are available in the school library. To know about day to day activities and events, the library has subscribed 5 newspapers, 10 magazines and journals for the benefit of students. A reference section supports students and teachers with more than 500 books.
Physical Education
Sports inculcate the spirit of positive challenges and the sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead to work individually and in a team. Special regular training is arranged for athletics after the school hours and during holidays. Playing games are the means of recreation for children. Our school playgrounds have facilities for playing games such as volleyball, hockey, cricket, throw ball and kho-kho. Indoor Games such as Caroms, Chess and Table Tennis are taught apart from our curriculum.
Counselling Session
Recognizing the critical role of counselling in students' overall development, our expert resource persons will provide guidance and educational advice on relevant topics, ensuring participants gain valuable insights and practical knowledge.
Guidance and counselling is oriented to helping students understand themselves , become self – sufficient in making realistic and positive selections and grow in human relationships and concerns.
The guidance programme helps young people and children to develop a positive self – image and a sense of identity, create a set of beliefs and a value system that will guide their behaviour and actions.
We encourage all our teachers to participate and take advantage of this excellent opportunity to further develop their professional capabilities in accordance with NEP 2020 guidelines.
Recording Studio
The school has a recording studio for students and teachers to create audio video content. The studio is mostly used during the annual events for recording . At Prometheus School, we believe that our recording studio is a valuable resource for our students. It provides an opportunity for students to pursue their passion for music, develop their skills, and work collaboratively with others. Our recording studio is just one example of how we are committed to providing our students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in all areas of life.

A recording studio is equipped with professional-grade instruments, microphones, amplifiers, mixing boards, and software. This ensures that the sound quality of any recording is of a high standard.
